Comments: A very rare, semi-deciduous, multi-stemmed tree, growing 20-30' tall and 15-20' wide. Dark green, glossy leaves are 6" long and borne in attractive layers on the branches. Fruits are small capsules. Flowers are small, not showy and consist of bright yellow stamens with red anther tips. An inter-generic cross resulting from Sycopsis × Parrotia.
