Comments: A new, improved deciduous shrub growing 6' tall and a slightly greater spread. Noted for its very fragrant, magenta flowers in summer which are described as resembling a magnolia flower. Foliage consists of simple, oppositely arranged, glossy leaves which take on an attractive yellow fall color. Wonderful in the shrub or perennial borders. Reportedly resistant to deer browse.
