Comments: A tough, bold, deciduous shrub forming an upright to arching specimen 8-10' tall and wide. Leaves are glossy, medium green, tri-lobed resembling a maple leaf. White, 3-4" flower clusters open in May, showing a combination of beige male florets surrounding tiny female florets. Fruit is a berry, changing from green to yellow-gold when ripe in September and more persistent than the species. Fall color is maroon to red. Nice used in mass or in shrub border.
