Comments: A stoutly branched, deciduous shrub growing 8-10' tall and wide. This selection's new foliage emerges bright yellow, maturing green in early summer. It retains yellow color longer if planted in part shade. Excellent for the shrub border where it can light up a dark area. Cluster of white flowers are up to 5" across in May. Fruit is a small drupe, first greenish yellow, then red, finally black, all colors occurring at same time. Fall color yellowish with purplish tints.
