Comments: A small, deciduous shrub 8-15' high and wide. Leaves are coarsely dentate and bright green. Fall color is brilliant red. Flowers are whitish cymes in May. Fruits are bluish black September through October and are relished by birds. Use in a shrub border, mass planting, or in groups and screens. There are no serious insect pests or diseases. Easily transplanted and does best in moist, well-drained soil in sun to part shade; adaptable to many soils.
