Comments: This shrub grows 9' tall and wide and is closely allied to the well-known Koreanspice viburnum (V. carlesii). Has densely pubescent leaves and stems. Foliage color is dark green throughout summer and may display outstanding combinations of reds and purples in fall. 1-2" fragrant flowers are pinkish white, unfolding in May. Fruit is produced sparsely, ripening red to black.
