Comments: This deciduous tree was selected by Mike Dirr from the University of Georgia campus for its outstanding foliage and habit. This graceful, round-headed tree with outstanding bark grows to 45' tall. Planted primarily for its magnificent mottled bark in shades of gray, green, orange and brown. This selection produces attractive burgundy fall leaf coloration (the origin of its name).
