A semi-dwarf native evergreen conical shrub. It grows about 4-6' wide and 6-8' tall rather slowly and a very old plant can be 12' tall. It has small, flat, dark green scale-like leaves. It grows most densely in full sun but will also do well in part shade. Even though it will tolerate fairly dense shade it will become sparsely foliaged.
