Comments: A lovely deciduous flowering shrub with a low, dense, mounded habit. It grows 6-8' tall and wide and can form suckering colonies. Flowers are pale lilac, very fragrant, in 3" long loose panicles in May. The deeply dissected, lacy, fine-textured, medium green foliage is very nice and contrasts well with other shrubs. Makes a good foundation plant, grouping or specimen. Fall color is yellowish. It is reported to have excellent heat tolerance and is mildew resistant.
