Comments: This deciduous shrub is an upright grower and one of the newest and reddest selections of the species. It was found in Durand-Eastman Park in Rochester, NY, named for Mr. Eastman of Eastman Kodak fame. Magnificent wine-red buds open into reddish pink flowers in May and abundantly cover the delicate branches. Excellent addition as a specimen plant, foundation planting or along a fence structure.
