Family:
Asteraceae (aster, daisy, sunflower family)
Distribution:
Species native to s.e. United States
Hardiness:

Comments:
3' tall x 18" wide. Low clump of foliage topped by tall bloom stems that are perfect for bouquet cuttings. Long-lasting, large, lilac-blue, uniquely fringed blooms are borne on upright stems mid-summer through fall. Unusual and eye-catching! The waxy foliage is semi-evergreen, deer and rabbit resistant and tolerates frost. Must have good drainage, so avoid heavy clay soils. Easy to grow, plant in full sun.
