Comments:
A deciduous shrub with slender spreading branches and growing to a height of 10' and width of 6'. The oblong, dull green leaves become glabrous above and grey-tomentose beneath. Spring brings the small white flowers that appear in narrow, round-topped clusters followed by small scarlet-red colored fruits. Great plant for the shrub border or as a backdrop plant. Found growing wild in limestone crags so well-drained soil in full sun is a must.
