Comments: A deciduous tree with a compact, rounded growing habit attaining 30-40' in height. Fast-growing, averaging 2' or more per year. Young foliage is bronze-red. Flowers are dark rose pink, pendulous, in June. Bark is deeply furrowed and attractive on older specimens. Ideal for dry, gravelly sites. Use in a natural setting with plenty of space.
