Comments: A deciduous azalea with an upright-to-arching, shrubby habit growing to 5-6' tall. The snowy white flowers have a prominent yellow blotch with protruding stamens and a lemony fragrance, opening in May. It is stoloniferous (having stems at the ground which root at their tips) in its native habitat of moist-to-dry open woods and is hardy, even in Ohio. A great as a focal point or specimen.
