Comments: The late Dr. Henry Schroeder of Evansville, Indiana began hybridizing cold hardy evergreen azaleas in the 1970s that could withstand the Midwest's severe conditions. This one has double, 2" wide, strong purplish pink flowers that are produced in late May on a plant that should reach 2' high and wide.
