Comments:
This is an elepidote (leaves without scales) rhododendron hybrid growing to about 8' tall in 10 years. Flowers are black-red in bud opening to bright carmine red in huge trusses of about 25 flowers. Foliage is dark green and lush. Broad, open globular habit. Use as an accent, mass or specimen planting.
