Comments:
One of the many hybrids of Weldon Delp of eastern Pennsylvania. This one is a lepidote (scaly leaved) rhododendron with strong reddish-purple buds opening into a blend of light purple and purplish-pink. Scaly leaved rhododendrons can grow in slightly more exposed locations than other types. Use in the border, as an accent or foundation planting.
