Large, deciduous tree with a pyramidal habit that broadens with age reaching a height and width of 40-60'. Lustrous, dark green leaves over summer months turn russet-red to red in fall. Considered a drought-tolerant species, but will withstand moist areas too. Makes a great shade tree for a spacious backyard.
