Comments: This species is an important deciduous forest tree to 100' or more in its native habitat in Europe. The leaves of this cultivar are 4-5" long with the tip leaves thin and lobeless (resembling those of Mespilus) while the side leaves have the typical rounded lobes. Foliage is lustrous dark green in summer turning yellow in the fall. Fruit is an acorn, unstalked, 3/4-1" long. Useful as a large shade or specimen tree.
