Comments:
This is a variety of flowering almond that produces pink double flowers in mid-spring. The flowers may be susceptible to early frost damage. This plant grows as a large shrub 10-15 feet tall and wide. Autumn foliage is bronze-yellow. Does best in full sun to part shade in rich, acidic soil. Will tolerate drought. Effective when planted near patios as a specimen plant or in a border. It may also be trained as a standard or used in bonsai. Needs to be pruned regularly to remove dead wood and to maintain attractive form.
