Comments: A large deciduous tree that has large, maple-like leaves with 3-5 toothed lobes. It grows 70' tall or more and as wide. Conical in youth, it develops into a large, open, wide-spreading tree in age. It can achieve 35' over a 20 year period. Medium green in summer and yellow-brown fall color. The exfoliating bark is one of the best ornamental qualities with colors of olive-green, tan and cream. Fruit is a 1" round syncarp.
