Comments: A medium-growing, compact evergreen to 15' or more. Prized for its golden needles year-round that maintain their color well in full sun. Needles are 2-5" long, and persist for 3 years. Young stems gray to green and resinous, soft and flexible. Older wood dark gray to brown and black and furrowed. Exceedingly rare in the trade, but promises to be a fully hardy specimen with unique foliar qualities.
