Comments:
A dwarf, globe-shaped evergreen, 10' tall by 15' wide. Overall texture is coarse with 5-6" long, somewhat twisted medium to dark green needles that persist for 4 years. Young stems conspicuously colored orange to reddish brown. Forms an attractive, slow-growing shrub for sunny sites. Originated as a witches' broom from The Arnold Arboretum in 1979, but rare in U.S. gardens. Plant in full sun in well-drained soil.
