Comments: A rapid-growing evergreen to 30' tall, conical in shape when young, becoming flat-topped with age. Young stems are light gray and very flexible; older bark is gray to brown and deeply fissured. Noted for its exceptionally blue needles, 2-4" long with prominent stomatal bands that give a silvery blue appearance. Cones are 3-6" long, egg-shaped, dark brown when ripe. Plant in full sun, well-drained soil.
