Comments: A slow-growing evergreen tree to 25' tall by 4-6' wide. Needles are blue-green year-round, 3-5" long, grouped in bundles of 5. Egg-shaped cones are 3-5" long, violet green when emerging, later turning purple-brown. Introduced in 1865 from west Germany and noted for its upward, densely crowded branches.
