Comments: This evergreen conifer has promising ornamental qualities. Specimens are rarely seen outside of arboreta. Has a distinctly conical shape to about 60' tall and half as wide. Relatively short, blue-green needles and long cones. Bark on older trees becomes dark brown and peels off into paper-like flakes. Extra hardy. Plant in full sun, well-drained soil.
