Comments: A small deciduous tree to large shrub, only 10' tall and slightly smaller spread, forms an attractive cascade of weeping branches. Flowers in March are interesting for their dark red stamens but aren't generally showy. Much esteemed for its lustrous dark green summer foliage and fall colors of orange and red. Old trees exhibit unusual mottled green-white and tan bark.
