Comments: A newly introduced selection found by the noted plantsman, Michael Hayman of Louisville, Kentucky. This deciduous tree can grow to 60' tall by 40' wide. Flowers open in May on long stalks, clustered 2-3, white and inconspicuous. Foliage consists of alternate, simple, 21/2-4" long leaves. Leaves emerge light green but deepen to glossy, dark green in summer. Fall color takes on an outstanding shade of burgundy red and orange. Fruits ripen in the fall to a blue-black drupe, 1/4" wide. A beautiful shade tree worthy of a place in any garden.
