Comments:
A deciduous, suckering shrub with large lobed, oak-shaped leaves. Flowers are white, on panicles up to 8" long in beginning in June - larger and more numerous than the species. Panicles are held upright rather than drooping as many others do. In late summer, the florets turn pink. Dark green leaves in summer turn deep red to reddish purple in fall. A more compact grower than the species growing only 6' high and wide.
