A medium size, deciduous shrub, reaching 10-12' tall and wide. Strap-shaped petals open bright, clear yellow, with contrasting red-purple colored sepals. Leaves are alternate, simple, medium green in summer becoming butter-yellow in fall. An excellent specimen for the winter landscape.
