This Japanese witch-hazel is a medium-to-large, upright deciduous shrub that grows 10-15' tall. Glossy medium green leaves turn yellow, purple and red in the fall. Bright yellow, fragrant flowers appear in mid-to-late winter. Each flower has four narrow strap shaped petals. Works well for shrub borders, woodland gardens.
