Comments: This conical growing evergreen conifer is named from a race designation of the Japanese Forest Agency to signify an exceptionally hardy seed source from the Akita Prefecture of the Tohoku region of northern Japan. Expect 20' high in central Ohio. This is a graceful, stately, handsome tree with reddish brown bark. Needles turn bronzy colored in winter, green up in the spring.
