Comments: This European counterpart to our native hazelnut is highly resistant to Eastern Filbert Blight. Usually attaining greater size than our native, up to 20' tall and can be trained as a small tree. Prized for its edible nuts, this selection has high nut yield, early maturity, and good quality. Male flowers (catkins) are showy in early spring as they elongate up to 4".
