Comments: This is a rarely available, small deciduous shrubby dogwood growing as a dense, rounded hummock 2-3' tall. White flowers are produced in July in dense, long-stalked cymes followed by black fruit. The new growth is reddish contrasting nicely with the older dark green leaves. Fall color is purplish red. Winter stems are red. Use in the shrub border or mixed among perennials. Full sun to light shade in moist, well-drained acid soil.
