Comments: A beautiful flowering, vigorous deciduous tree, 20-30' high with equal spread. Heavily textured dark green leaves set off the over 2" wide, four white flower bracts that open later than normal in early spring. The flowers can persist for several weeks. Named after Polly Hill, Martha's Vineyard. Fruits are red, pulpy berries 1-2" across. Fall color can be dark purple to orange-red. Upon maturity, the mottled gray-brown bark is very attractive. Best used as a specimen or accent plant.
