Comments: A little known selection, rated to be a heavy bloomer, whose flower bracts are superimposed upon one another. This small deciduous tree will grow to 15' tall and wide, low-branched and vase-shaped. Leaves are clean, glossy green, lance-shaped and pointed at the tips. White to creamy flower bracts open in late May and may persist into midsummer. Fruit is strawberry-red when ripe. Fall color ranges from orange to red to maroon. Bark on older wood is attractively mottled gray-brown and white.
