Comments: An unusual selection of this normally spreading, deciduous flowering tree. This selection has upright growth and narrow pointed, somewhat rumpled four white bracts in early spring that are set off by heavily textured dark green leaves. Fruits are red, pulpy berries 1-2" across. Fall color can be dark purple to orange-red. Upon maturity, the mottled gray-brown bark is very attractive. Best used as a specimen or accent plant..
