Comments:
An oval, round-topped, erect, dense shrub. Grows slowly to 3-8' high and 4-6' wide. Deep green leaves in late spring make this an excellent companion plant for early-blooming herbaceous plants. Develops yellow to golden brown fall color. Fragrant flower buds open soft pink, July to August. A hardy plant for wet areas, shrub borders and heavy shade.
