White flowers are produced abundantly in May; they are in many-flowered panicles and have a slight fragrance. Dark blue fruit is produced on female trees only, in the presence of a male pollinator. A great specimen tree. Drought resistant once established and virtually pest free. Site in full sun in moist, well-drained soil.
