Comments: A beautiful and vigorously growing selection of a small, deciduous, understory tree native in our area. It grows about 20' tall and wide in an upright, arching habit. In early spring, usually mid to late April, it has small, pinkish lavender, pea-like flowers. The large, golden yellow heart-shaped summer leaves are outstanding in the landscape. New spring growth is orange-red contrasting wonderfully with the older. Mixes well in shrub borders or along wood edge.
