Comments: A rarely offered slow growing, small tree whose leaves emerge in shades of creamy pink and tinge of orange on bright pink leaf stalks. In summer the leaves become yellow-green. Best grown as an understory plant in part shade, protected from wind. It will grow 25' tall and 20' wide. Pale yellow flowers appear in April or early May on 4-8" long upright panicles. Fruit is a shiny, dark brown, nut enclosed in a leathery husk.
