Comments: A hardy selection originating in France that grows to a medium-sized deciduous tree (30') with an upright to oval crown. Leaves are palmately compound, 5-7 leaflets, dark green with little, if any, effective fall color. Flowers open in May on 12" upright panicles, petals ¾" wide and suffused with pink. Fruits are borne sparingly or not at all on this sterile hybrid. Buds are large and conspicuous and follow the coarse textured nature of the tree. Bark is furrowed on old branches, smooth, dark gray on younger wood.
