Comments: A deciduous suckering shrub, 8-12' tall, spreading 8-15' wide. The medium green palmate leaves are grayish and pubescent underneath. Long flower panicles are produced in late July to August, about two weeks later than the species. Inflorescences are 18-30" long with white petals and pink stamens. The flower spikes curl and twist in interesting shapes. Excellent shrub for massing or in shrub borders. Yellow fall color.
