Comments: A small to medium deciduous shade tree to about 40' tall. The original tree, at about 30 years old is approximately 30' tall by 20' wide. This selection gets its name from its bright red fall color. Medium to dark green, lustrous foliage is thought to show less blotch and early defoliation in late summer than most of this species. Flowers open May as upright, greenish yellow clusters. Reputedly produces few fruits. Appropriate for naturalized plantings.
