Comments: An outstanding, red-foliaged selection of Japanese maple named by Richard Wolff of Red Maple Nursery. It was found in Edgewood Cemetery in e. Pennsylvania. This deciduous cultivar combines beautiful, deeply cut foliage with a dense, compact habit. Leaves unfold crimson-red, very lacy in texture, fading to medium green in mid-summer. In the fall, leaves darken to a pale golden yellow. A premier landscape plant for small yards growing to only 10' tall and slightly wider.
