Comments: A medium-sized evergreen tree, densely branched and rigidly formal. Can reach 60' tall in its native habitat. Needles are densely arranged along the branches and bristly to the touch. Undersides of the needles are punctuated by distinct silvery white bands of stomates. Upright-forming cones occur on mature trees, 5-6" long with recurved cone scales. An attractive specimen tree.
