Comments:
Quite rare outside of Arboreta and Botanic gardens. This deciduous species grows vigorously to 8' tall. Stems are fine-textured, light to tan brown on young wood. Leaves are medium to dark green, 1" long. Flowers open in June as 1" wide, white clusters. Fruits mature in late summer to early fall as tiny, globose, dark brown capsules. Fall color is yellow to a tinge of orange at best. Plant in full sun in well-drained soil in the spring or fall.
